Celebration of Universal Children's Day

November 20th

The United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child was adopted by the General Assembly on November 20, 1959.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child was approved by the same body on November 20, 1989.

CiN has been involved in raising awareness about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child ever since the creation of the club.

We are proud to pursue further steps in our quest to bring equal rights to children all over the world.

We care and value children's fundamental rights to Education, Health Care, Shelter and Food.

Please celebrate with us on Universal Children's Day to raise people's awareness of children's rights.

On November 20th, we do the following:

Promote Children's Rights

Hold Concerts

Have Bake Sales

Since 2010, CiN founders and children at Sun Village have designed and created bookmarks to advocate children's rights.

By using traditional Chinese paper-cutting technique, each bookmark depicts an article of UN's Convention on the Rights of the Child.

In 2014, we celebrate Universal Children's Day with children from:

The Canal Family Support, USA

New Hope for Orphans, Cambodia

Rongko High School, Cambodia

Cenxi Primary School, China

Fuzhou Kindergarten, China

Summer Camp, Bosnia
